DESCRIPTIONMachine Setup Level B can do some repeat setups on CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, and helps maintain daily production through tool changes, changeovers, and daily maintenance. Must be able to read and understand setup information and do minor program editing with assistance, if necessary (Re-boring jaws, aligning fixtures, setting taper, replace broken tools, etc.) Can read and fully understand a blueprint. Must have full knowledge of a CNC control panel. Can perform basic machine maintenance as instructed by supervisor.

WORKING ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED), prior machine shop experience running production, and using measuring instruments. Knowledge of multi-axis CNC lathes, Swiss type CNC lathes, vertical machining centers a plus.
